| January 2009 Photo Competition: Votes This voting thread is now open and will close this February 1st at 10pm (EST). Voting is open to all RetouchPro members. If you submitted an entry, you may not vote for yourself. Post your choices (in this thread) for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd by listing the member's name. If you want to explain your reasons, please do. Vote for the 3 entries you like the best - you might consider how well a photo captures your attention, how well it deals with the subject, how well it fits with the chosen theme, how well the technical details are handled -- lighting, composition, sharpness, etc., -- you are the judge of what appeals to you and what is important to you in an image and the subject category. Votes will be weighted to give greater weight to First Place votes than to Second and greater weight to Second than to Third place votes. When you place a vote for First Place, that entry will receive four (4) points; when you place a vote for Second, that entry will receive two (2) points, and a vote for Third Place will receive one (1) point. 1. Entry X (their name) - First Place 2. Entry A (their name) - Second Place 3. Entry C (their name) - Third Place The winner will be notified and will choose a subject for February. |

| Re: January 2009 Photo Competition: Votes 1. DannyRaffel - Wonderful colors and nice details. The only thing is the crop seems a little to tight. 2. Swarbees - I like the execution, it is nicely in focus 3. ScubaMargie - nice colors, too bad the bees face is not showing I hope you don't mind my comments, I'm no professional, but I like to hear about my submissions, so here my opinion on the rest. I think everone did a great job, it is fun to see what everyone does. Janet - If it could have been more dramatic some how?? K-Gimini_M - I think the subject is good and colors are nice, but I would have like to see the tines in focus. RAG - welcome to RP, I like the colors a lot, but the background is distracting, especially the corner of what ever is at the bottom, and the water mark. sharynideas - I like the details, but I had a real hard time figuring out what it was?? |
