And this one is of Yoda our spanish feral kitty in play mode this afternoon.
After spending half the day trying to capture a swift darting into our pool for a drink of chlorinated water, i gave up and turned attention to something that stays still for more than a nanosecond...
Manual setting, bounced flash ISO 200, 1/250 @ 5.6 24-70mm
He has something wrong with his right eye which gives him a glazed look and i dont try to correct this anymore because he's not purrrrfect

Man, Gary, how do you get such great images. Is it just the patience?

Hi Thomas,
for sure the kitten needs patience lol,
also having the camera set up correctly does help, i reeled off the first ten shots forgetting that i was inside now with a flash, but was still set up for shooting swifts outside at 9 frames a second... this seemed to irritate the kitten so it exited the building fairly rapidly. An hour or so and a few cat biscuits and squeeky toy later i got close to the shot i wanted.
It's perseverance for me because i don't have patience in abundance, add luck to the equasion and accept the fact that if anything can go wrong then it always will.......
regards,
Gary
