WOW flowers is a popular subject. There are some really great entries this month. As usual, choosing is difficult.

1. Algarve Images. This is simply a jaw-dropping image. No other way to put it.

2. LimeyG. The only thing I would have like to see done differently is the composition. The exposure and depth-of-field are spot on. Dandelions are very difficult to get the whole flower in focus. You did very well here.

3. Palms. Beautiful Clematis. Simply beautiful. Great composition. I liked the radial thread of pink and white and the center of the flower positioned in the classic 1/3.

I won't mention any others because I'm sure I'd forget and leave someone out. Suffice it to say that it was a thrill to see so many entries and such good quality.

shame we only have to pick three as there isnt one i did not like the standard was very high here this month

2. limey-g - the light is great and I liked the way the shallow DOF brought your eye to the flower

3. Southbay- I liked the way the flower color was set off by on the moss on the stone

Difficult choice. I'm strictly an amature, so I usually operate with criteria I like or I don't like...and I liked everything

It would have been easier to name a top 5 or 10 as there were many I liked. Since I really know little about photography this is based mostly on my personal tastes......

1. Rag: so bright, airy and cheerful it just makes me smile
2. Gary/Algarve Images: love the angle and clear blue sky frame of the pink hibiscus
3. Sweetlight: creative effect (lens baby?) for a unique flower that seems perfectly suited for your choices of angle and effects
