Well, you may get a post from Palms who had to breathe in some bad dust, but no one can say you caused the volcano.

Talking The Little Shoe

I ride my bike most every day on a bike path here and for about ten days I've noticed this abandoned child's shoe on the edge of the path. Well today I set my bike down and photographed it.

I got so excited about it all I place the photo in a matte and frame for your viewing pleasure.

Was out shooting a panorama today and decided to make a panorama planet of it.

The real panorama, fullscreen 360x180 can be seen here.

Thanks, I use a Peleng Fisheye 8 mm lens. I stitch semi-manually in Photoshop after straightening the vertical lines with a plug called PanoTools, where you can distort an undistort images in a number of ways.

The final jpg is then imported to a free software from Apple called make Cubic, that makes it a QTVR file.

I dont have a real panohead I use a very small DIY gadget, a long screw and two nuts, so I can keep the lens at its aproximate nodal point. There is a image of it i this post in my blog ...

NO TRAFFIC in Seattle today...

Interstate-5 through downtown Seattle, shot from the Madison Street overpass Saturday afternoon.

Notice:
* Very odd: The absence of cars. (No, it was not closed for a community event, run, walk or the like.)
* Not so odd: Overcast sky and absence of sun (typical Seattle area day this summer).

Go figure.

I haven't posted anything for a long time...I was looking at some pictures I took last year in Egypt and kind of liked this one of a Nubian woman selling jewlery along the Nile River in Luxor.
