gary, love the yellow one! very cool. and i too would love to know how you keep such great detail with such a rich saturation. my shots like that tend to kinda blur the one color together.

nancy, great card

shary, nice close-ups. i used to do macros back in the film days and loving that folks are posting more of these.

and gary, again, the bee/bug one is also good. what are you shooting those with?

cj, gotta love cats. they get into everything

OB, my first experiments with HDR were also on a slightly windy day. yours came out better than mine

flotsam, nice. where is that?

ok, not a lot of good shots from the vacation, but here's one i sort of like. cincinnati has a lot of older architecture. i took quite a few shots of that, but it's also quite dingy so i wont be posting a lot of it. this shot came out pretty well, though. it's down near 4th street and plum.

OB, 12 shots !!! I haven't done any HDR in a while, but getting 3 or 4 was as much as I tried. I'd like to find a big old interesting dark building with big windows or doors on a sunny day to shoot HDR. One of my photography groups went to a great cave with an opening to a beautiful area - but I didn't go -- they took some great HDR images. I don't think we'd have to worry about wind inside a cave... but I haven't been in one for such a long time, I could be wrong...

Craig - looks like a great old building. Dingy can be interesting - I'm not into the grunge look, but I do appreciate old beat-up buildings.

Palms, thanks for noticing how photogenic Bunny is - I'll pass that on to him.

Does Peeps come TO the camera when you bring it out? I've had that problem also -- "oooh, what is that? Is that something for me? A toy? Something to rub against? Why do you keep walking away from me -- I want to see it, touch it, play with it, attack it..." Snapping a flash (from a distance) MAY startle him enough to keep him back a ways -- don't want to make him scared of the camera and hide when you bring it out either. Of course, you can always catch him napping - that's a nice look too. I know that Peter S. is waiting for another look at his sweet new cat buddy.

It is a living sculpture! We have a couple of new weed types that I let grow in the yard because they were unusual and somewhat sculptural in shape. I finally had to pull them because they turned into less interesting and more invasive creatures as they matured, but I still enjoy looking at them when they are immature and attractive. Still don't know what they are or where they migrated from... Look kinda Martian...OB, yours looks kinda Martian also...
