Re: Photographed TODAY (or Processed today) con't I just finished retouching DH's skiing pictures. Here's one I really liked. There's a manipulated version here. Winter scene 1680x1050 wallpaper. I shot pictures of DS's class ice skating last week. It was at 8:30 (!!!) in the morning and the light was terrible. Now I'm reading all about how to deal with noise. I was playing around with shutter speed and have a handful of completely black frames. I'd throw them away but I need the learning experience to see how far I can bring them back.- Nancy

Re: Photographed TODAY (or Processed today) con't Your post was a bit ambiguous, but thanks! It snowed during the night turning the neighborhood into a winter wonderland. So I ditched all planned activities and went out and took pictures. Now I really need to go and get things done.

Re: Photographed TODAY (or Processed today) con't OLBaldy - all those pretty red candles in the fireplace are so inviting! Adam Bartas - That is one cool composite! The custom at RetouchPRO is to "save for the web" max size 100k so that you can attach a picture, links to original sizes are fine but an attached thumbnail is always preferred. DH and I took 800+ photos over Christmas. We had one good morning of light. I took the first picture of his 90 yr old Dad with my new 50 mm lens. The second is a year old capture but post processed this morning with just about everything I've learned here at RetouchPRO. Happy Twenty-ten retouchers, welcome to the future! - Nancy

Re: Photographed TODAY (or Processed today) con't palms1 - love the geometrics shapes! phil - the square crop really works with the diagonal lines Craig, Thanks for the nudge. I've started a thread. I like your interpretation very 'icy.' My point and shoot is a Panasonic Lumix FX35 which is awesome for a pocket camera. DH has a Canon 40D which mystifies me but that doesn't keep me from attempting to use it. - Nancy

Re: Photographed TODAY (or Processed today) con't Palms - your snowfall and ice LOOK lovely - as seen from a warm room. We're having a sunny, warmer than usual (so far) January in Arizona, but I'm still cold unless the sun is shining and the temp is 60 plus. Went on a group photo shoot last weekend - sunshine and decent temps... guess the horse thought a nap in the sun felt good even though it was still morning. Philbach, your image looks very inviting.
