CJ - I've never been on a group shoot, sounds like a blast. Love the peacefully snoozing horsy and that wooden church is marvelous.

Here's my edits for today. I'm playing with the images from the accompanying disc to How to Cheat at Photoshop

nasturtium,

fascinating that you used the panasonic fx35 (38). i've been watching that camera evolve since the fx18. almost bought that and almost bought the fx28. lol. i still go visit the panasonic site from time to time or dpreview and compare that one and the new 24x optical nikon and the 24x kodak. i still havent decided which i like more, but your pics with the fx35 are quite good, so panasonic gets another point

if the kodak had detachable lenses like the panasonic and a lens ring for filters like the panasonic and time lapse like the nikon, i'd get the kodak in an instant. because the panasonic is 18x and the others 24x, i've hesitated and debated internally for quite a while. i do mostly outdoor shooting so the long telephoto aspect is quite appealing to me.

did you do all the shots in the this thread with the panasonic? if so, those are good quality images in both grain and resolution. i'm impressed.

and btw, you have a very good eye

Craig,

Thanks for the compliment. I am very comfortable with composition and equally uncomfortable with color. :-)

I've moved the camera discussion to the hardware forum.

it's been a very cold january here. thus, our lake has been frozen over for a while now. and recently, we had some of our local geese fly over, but it wasnt until today that i saw one out on the lake. it's not a great shot aesthetically, but i still thought it was cute. you can almost hear the goose's thoughts, 'what in the hell is this? why cant i swim?'

Kraellin; your absolutely right. That goose is surprised and angry. Life isn't supposed to be like this.

I took this photo a few moments ago on Seabrook Island. I used my canon SX200 which makes Panoramas very easy. What didn't work though was CS4's automate/photomerge.

My mother bought me a tiny wingback chair for doing kid portraits. It gave me this idea, and I just couldn't resist.
