Thank you, Sir. I'm particularly proud of that one. It was an idea I had, and it turned out every bit as nice as I hoped it would. It was meant to be Masterpiece Theatre meets Charlie Chaplin. About the only thing I didn't do that I wanted to do was to have the regular English guy who reads the stories tied up and gagged behind the little chair. But alas, there was no one to play the part.

i woke up to this this morning. no, it wasnt in my bedroom, but it was outside my window. about once a year lately, we've been getting at least one semi-surreal winter day. seems today was the one

this was taken with my little kodak 885z. i did run it through a Lab enhance filter in filter forge to bring the colors back (it was a bit overcast when i took the shot) and i also adjusted the contrast a bit, but otherwise, what you see is... cool

Craig, nice photo. It gave me a cold chill. "Over Here" in SC the brown pelicans have sort of moved off the ocean and are wintering on some of the inland lagoons around here to stay warm possibly. At any rate that opened up the opportunity to set up a tripod and take some photos. Here is one of those wintering pelicans.

I shot this last night. There was a whole troupe of about 8 bucks (no does that I saw) ambling through my backyard and eating from trees. This big guy stopped to watch me take photos of them. BTW, I'm not a hunter, but that is 8 points right? Anybody know?

Don't know about the number of antler points, but you get points for capturing a close up image of a big buck. That's some backyard! Nice image.

I don't think it is a 8 pointer.

I think it is a 9 or even maybe a 10 pointer considering how the last point is split in the right hantler.

Craig-those ice crystals look like lovely white fireworks
Crazyflly1-Wow! Awesome capture. Weren't you scared?

We've been talking about making a pilgrimage to this hut in the Alps for years as it sports our last name. This year it was on our way to where were were going and the snow was just right.

that's at least a 10 point buck. nice rack! (must hold tongue and not make lewd comments on my own remarks!)

thanks, nancy. yeah, that morning surprised me. apparently, what had happened was there was a heavy dew and it all crystallized. quite pretty. the whole neighborhood was like that.

great looking lodge. i can almost feel the fireplace and taste the hot toddies and cocoa
