Really fun images of bokeh and bugs. What do you guess she uses ~ colored gels?

those are amazing! i feel like a total amateur. not sure about colored gels/filters, but maybe. the focus and resolution and clarity are amazing and the foreground and background play is incredible. the bokeh is fascinating all by itself, but the combination is just stunning. i'm wondering if she's not using hdri on these.

I'm not sure, but she may be using cut-outs to either create the bokeh or add to it - at least on some of them. I've read a number of DIY methods to create bokeh shapes or bokeh walls to use as background. A couple of the lovely butterfly images look like they have cutouts for bokeh. Texture may have been added to some also - beautifully done, however she creates her images.

Wonderful work, and no idea how she does it, but sometimes i like to just sit back and enjoy the magic some one else has created lol
