Re: Photographed TODAY (or Processed today) con't

Here is one that I shot yesterday. I'd like to get opinions on the crop as well as the photo itself. Am I trying to make a silk purse from a sows ear? Sometimes I wonder if these are pics that only a doggie daddy would love.

I really appreciate the help. If the questions bother anyone, please let me know. I can make a new thread in retouching if it does. Last time I posted a retouched pic on my website and then the next day got advice on the crop here and wished that I had waited because the suggested crop was so much better. So thanks again.

That's a great pose of Einstein, too bad there are distracting elements (grasses that cover his eye/face and background) and he's facing away from you.

Here is a possible crop with quickie healing brush clean-up. You can try other effects beyond this.

Thank you, ya, he's not quite ready for the catwalk yet but we're working on it.I like the crop you did but I thought that the grasses almost added to the photo, even the one in front of his eye. Really good job of taking that out though, especially if you did it quick!

DK, nice catch. The "naked is nice" made me laugh out loud, really.

Thanks, Janet - "Naked" is a sentimental favorite of mine. Saw the graffiti, waited (not long) for somebody to come along to complete the shot, and - what luck. She was perfect.

The truck was parked on the street just off the Minneapolis Aquatennial Parade route in '70 or '71, maybe. No posing involved, just right place/right time. Glad you liked it.

Plugs - didn't see your post with the '70s link until just now. Thanks for sharing. You must have been a busy boy.

Thanks, too, for the heads-up about the new Topaz plugin. Do you know what they're calling it? It looks promising although at first blush it seems like you could accomplish pretty much the same thing with Adjust. Or am I missing something? (I'm a devoted Topaz user. They do great work.)
