Is speedlights enough to fill the light on a 32x48 softbox or 55 inch octa or should i get the smaller ones?

Re: Speedlight for softbox / Octa

If you put 2 or 3 speedlights in the box or octa it will be more efficient unless you raise your iso with one speedlight...... the output from 1 speedlight may not be enough.

IMHO the right answer is both YES and NO. What really matters here is (1) the role of the softbox (fill, key, hair, kicker, background or what?); (2) the distance between it and the subject; (3) its size in proportion to the subject.
