First beauty shoot - any advice?

So what do you need to do in order to get the best possible image for PP and retouching? What do I tell the makeup artist? Are there things to use and things not to use when it comes to makeup? Are there any things I need to take into account? I have never shot beauty before and in a few days I will be working on one for a model who requested that I do the shooting and retouching. Until now I mostly did Fashion but I am very interested in trying it out. Thanks guys!

Hi there,

I recently retouched headshots and fashion shots and there were a few things which could have done better

- rests of eye shadow under the eye
- foundation was not smooth
- if you have also the legs or arms on the photo, let the MUA use a lotion or tanning cream as well. if the model is freezing you will have otherwise blotches
- hair, no hair in the eyes

No goosebumps! Warm the studio Great foundation is a must for great post work. It will take a photographer to recommend lighting set-up and the like.
