Need help uninstalling PSE 2, just purchased 3...

I just purchased PSE3 today and I want to remove version 2 before I install 3, but it won't let. My PC is a 1 yr. old Dell 4600 with 1GB RAM, using Win XP Home. I also have PSCS on my PC...........I bought PSE 3 for the Album feature.

Any help you can give me in this matter is greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks, Pam

"But it won't let [me]..."

What are the symptoms? Are you getting some sort of error message(s)? If yes, what? If no messages, how do you know it's not uninstalling?

One possible remedy is to reinstall Elements2 from its CD, then immediately uninstall it.

Hi Danny........

Yes, I am getting the following message:

"The log file 'C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 2\Uninst.isu' is not valid or the data has been corrupted."

I also reinstalled PSE2, but I still get the same message. Do you know what this is?

Thanks, Pam

OK.....I solved problem!!!

I ran spyware removal programs and a Norton virus scan to eliminate spyware or virus problems (no viruses found). Then I went to the Adobe program file and sent the "Uninst.isu" file to the Recycle Bin and THEN I did a reinstall of PSE2 and presto, magic.........it worked!

Thanks for trying to help me anyway!!!

Pam
