Talking Elements 6 - catalog & LinkStation

Hi,

I'm 7 minutes old on this forum!!

Can anyone tell me how to catalog 1000s of existing photographs I have stored on my Buffalo LinkStation which I access from both my Laptop and PC.

Currently they are on an ACDSee Database but having just purchased Elements 6 I would like to recatalog using my new program.

Many thanks

Barry

Re: Elements 6 - catalog & LinkStation

hi bdgraham and welcome to RP.

i dont really use a cataloging program since i use paint shop pro's system, but, i can maybe get you started. hewlett packard, kodak and probably some of the other big names in digital have catalog systems for photos. these often come with printers or digital cameras as software, but you may also be able to find them on those respective sites as free software for download. you could also do a google search, and i would think that elements would come with something as well. you might check the install disk to see if there isnt something there.

Re: Elements 6 - catalog & LinkStation

Thanks Craig,

I think I didn't make myself clear. I do have Elemnts 6 and know it has an organiser. My problem is how to catalog my existing 1000s of pictures which I have stored on a Buffalo Linkstation and which are already organised using ACDSee.

Ideally I would like to be able to access the Elements 6 organiser database from my PC and Laptop.

Cheers

Barry

ok, let me throw you into the other forum where Elements folks can see and perhaps answer your question.
