This problem involves using the 'process multiple files' procedure to organize images for presentation on a Wii. The Wii shows photos chronologically arranged by the 'date taken' or 'date modified' info in the image file. So, if you touch up an image in
PSE the date modified is the current date and that image will fall out of sequence on the Wii. The obvious solution was to use the PMF procedure in
PSE to redate the images 'date modified' by just moving them to a different folder without resize or reformat and using the original file name generated by the camera to order the sequence in Windows. HOWEVER, when this is done the resulting image file size is 1/10 of the starting image with noticable degradation in image quality while the original image pixel dimensions are maintained. The original images are 3.2 MB jpeg and the product of the PMF procedure is a ~400 KB jpeg. Can this further compression of the images be turned off or perhaps, I should use another file format?
