Re: Please help

Thanks Richard...I went back to the Hidden Elements site, downloaded the file and it worked just like you said it would. My problem wasn't just that I had the wrong version but the file didn't unzipp properly. So I got rid of winzip and downloaded Alzip and everything is as you said it would be.

Thanks so much for all your assistance.

Re: Please help

I'm glad it worked out. The instructions have been honed over several versions and hopefully at this point catch most of the issues.

Question Re: Please help

I have another question!!! After installing the hidden elements 7, I was working in the full edit and noticed the hidden elements are all there and work great but I no longer have any of the Drop shadows???? Is there something I've done wrong?? How do I get these back???? When you click on the Icon beside the filters Icon there is nothing listed in this window. I know they were there before I installed the hidden elements because I was using them just the other day?!?!?!?

Re: Please help

Be sure to keep your effects folder clean. Have nothing in there but the effects. My guess is you put a ZIP file in there? It can stop Elements from recognizing all the files.

I hope that helps.

Re: Please help

Richard...There wasn't a zip file in the folder....I solved the problem by deleting the mediaDatabase file again and restarting the program. When I opened Edit again the file rebuild and the drop shadows appeard.

Thanks for your help...It is nice to have a knowledgeable person like yourself to give us newbies a hand!!!!

Re: Please help

I'd assumed you did that, but glad you followed up on the troubleshooting. I've had a while to get those instructions down and they cover most everything.

Glad you got it solved!
