Re: PhotoShop Elements 8.0 Juergen - It just so happens I'll be upgrading my workstation from XP to Win7 before upgrading from PSE6 to PSE8. I have all my photos & catalogues on a network drive. Since I'm going from XP to Win7 I'll have to do a clean install. Do you forsee any problems? Thanks for the reference to Elements Village Forum - I've taken a look but didn't find the question/answer I was looking for.

Re: PhotoShop Elements 8.0 Yes. And I am not knowledgeable enough about all the issues. Here are some tips covering catalog conversion by John Ellis, a frequent contributor over there. This article deals with PSE6/7, should apply to v.8 too. It is contained in an extensive Q&A listing, which may give you further answers. You may also search for the Adobe TechNote that specifically covers conversion to PSE8. If you are not sure about the right approach for your setup, just post over there. Juergen

Re: PhotoShop Elements 8.0 I just upgraded from Elements 6 to 8 and all of the catalogs etc. moved over fine. I am using Windows Vista and will soon be changing that to Win7. If anyone has any advise I would be glad to hear it. So far I have had no problems with Elements 8. Oh and BTW the raw converter has been updated to 5.5 and now covers many more cameras. I am using an Olympus E-510. Don

Re: PhotoShop Elements 8.0 Don, Thanks. I have Windows 7 on order and will wait until I get it installed before installing PE8. Plan is to backup the catalogs in PE6 then restore in PE8. Thanks also for the info on the raw converter. I just purchased a Nikon D5000 and had to download a dll file to be able to import raw images into PE6. Jay
