 Re: PSE 4 Loading Although I don't have a Mac, I don't think that Photoshop loads every photo stored on one's computer. I probably have 10K images on my drives, and there is no way that a computer could load that, at all. I can tell you that the amount of fragmenting on a drive, the amount of memory to work with, the number of programs running at the same time, the processor speed, and other factors can affect loading time. PS CS4 seems to be a bigger program than its predecessors, and consequently will take longer to load. When I upgraded to a more powerful cpu with 4 times as much memory, CS4 loading is one-quarter of the time it used to take.
