Adjusting curves

I'm trying to adjust the curves in Photoshop Elements 6. A friend sent me an .acv file to import into PSE, but I can't seem to find a way to do that. Has anyone ever been able to do this?

Re: Adjusting curves

rmier, welcome to RetouchPro.
From my recollection of Eleements, there is no provision to import a curve preset. A good place to get a definitive answer would be to visit the User to User Forum for PSE at Adobe.com.
Regards, Murray

Re: Adjusting curves

You might want to have a look at a Plugin called "Smart Curves". It's available from the Plugins World web site. It's free and works much like the Curves in Photoshop plus it allows you to work in Lab, HSV etc., which are not normally available in Elements.
