I am banging my head repeatedly about this, and god only knows I cannot afford to lose any more brain cells, so I am hoping SOMEONE can help - My file browser in PS7 is stuck in the top left corner - I can drag it out so I can see about a 1/4 of the window and it will not drag out any further. I am at my wits end trying to fix this as I have an order due that is taking 10 times as long to fill without the use of the browser. If ANYONE has ANY suggestions, I would be VERY greatful! Suz

Photoshop often does peculiar things if the preferences file gets corrupted. To restore to default settings, do the following. On launch of the programme, press and hold Ctrl+Shift+Alt. photoshop will display a dialog box asking to delete preferences file, click yes. This will restore to default settings, unfortunately you will have to re-enter your preferences. For this reason, it is always a good practice to make a backup of your preferences file when it is not corrupted, as it is then easy to restore afterwards. Hope this helps.

Thanks SO much! It did not completely work as the very top of the browser window is still stuck behind the menu, but it is far enough out to be useful. Thanks so much for the tip! Suz

Hi Suz, if you can see the browser tab, try clicking and holding on the tab, then drag it down onto your desktop, that should enable you to see all the browser. To return it to the docked position, click on the arrow on the tab and then click dock to palette well.
