Hi there, Glyn. welcome to RetouchPRO

I took the liberty of editing your post (changed PS 3 to CS 3).

Interesting story, thanks for pointing it out.

On a personal note, I'd say that PS (or CS) is going the same way as almost all software. The really interesting and important features have all been implemented. What is left for new versions is just specialist stuff.

As they say in the note, the version is aimed at engineers and CAD users. But these folks already have lotsa software for their needs.

As I have said in other threads, I have PS 7 and CS 2. Hardly anything I do needs CS 2. However PS 7 runs on my cranky old Windows 98 machine while my sleek XP sometimes staggers under CS 2. One thing that you can be pretty sure of - CS 3 will require you to upgrade your machine (again).

End of rant, now - Just hope I am totally and utterly wrong.

(PS the Apple Photo-Pro notice maybe prove more interesting)

Hi ByRO,

Thanks for editing my post....guess I was in too much of a hurry huh

Yeah I see what you're saying. I guess any upgrade is gonna be good though. Guess if there's a chance of having tp upgrade so soon, I'll have to start being extra extra nice to Mrs D

Take Care out there
