| | | About to upgrade to CS....what are the top 5... ...things I have to look forward to, coming from little ol' Elements? I do have several plug-ins installed in my Elements that have allowed me to use masks, curves and channels...so besides those things, what thrilling things await me in CS? I can't wait!! |

| | | ajava,
i'm using elements 4...well, learning. what are those plugins you have for elements that allow those things and where do i get them?
and, one of the things i was hoping to get with elements was working in other colorspaces, especially cmyk since i want more exact printing, but i couldnt find anything on it. so, cmyk, lab, hsl and all those colorspaces are going to open up to you in cs.

| | | Plug-ins... Hey Craig,
I have several that I've found by doing google searches on Photoshop plugins. Some were free, others...not so free. Richard Lynch has a book on just Elements that comes with software that includes layer masks, color/channel separation actions, etc. Good stuff but I found most of it is kind of "rigged" and can be confusing to use.
My favorite plugins are CurveMeister, ColorWasher and Noise Ninja. I can't remember the other ones just now. |
