Help Menu

I can not get the help menu to come up in photoshop. I hit the Help at the top and it will not come up and also hit F1 and nothing happens. Might I have something set wrong for it not to open up? Thanks Neb

I had the same problem when I installed PH to a location different than C:\program files

Seems as if PS has problems linking the help center and the program together...

And if all else fails, remember that PS installs a 815 page (18MB) pdf user manual when you install PS.

Hi Neb!

Sorry to react so late but here in the Western Cape, we are being plagued by regular power cuts ...

What happened to me with the PS Help file was that I had opened it and, after reading what I needed, I had 'minimized' it so, it was present in my Tool Bar at the bottom of my screen (Attachment), but for some reasons it wouldn't react to the F1 key ... After realizing it I just clicked on its Icon on the Tool Bar... and there it was again!!! Keep in mind that if you have many windows open your Tool Bar gets very 'crowded', so, some of the icons might be hidden from view...

The Photoshop Help center has a few known problems (as I discovered having recently purchased CS2). Go to adobe.com and type "photoshop help center" in the knowledge database search. There are more than one problem/solutions. In my case, I actually had to download a newer version of the help center (I think v2.3) and install it even though I have a brand-new CS2 install disk.
