problems with PS CS Can anyone help?

Hey all I hope someone can help here. FOr the past few days I have had problems in photoshop CS. When I zoom in on an image, my viewing window is automatically resized up to full size. This is seriously slowing me down having to constantly reIze a window to get back to where I was working. ANyone have any suggestions?

Also, I can't seem to get photoshop to remember what proof view I want to use. THen before I print I have to go back and change. Is there any way to fix this or designate one proof view as default?

Thanks!

Dawn

Hi Dawn,
You can try toggling the check boxes which appear in the option bar across the top of your screen after selecting the zoom tool. Also check the Edit>Preferences>General setting for resize windows, and the minimize / maximize check box on the top right corner of the window, and the screen mode at the bottom of the main Tool Bar. If nothing works to correct the problem, then it is possible that your PC Prefs file may be corrupted. If this is the case you could reset your prefs by holding down the Shift + Ctrl + Alt keys while starting Photoshop.
Regards, Murray
