Tutorial on using PS CS2 Animation?

Folks,

"Help" isn't usable on my PS CS 2, crashes, can't find anything relevant on Adobe site.

I think I am missing something by not knowing how to use animation in the restoration/enhancement process. Am I?

Assuming you meant "automation" (Animation typically means, "The art or process of preparing animated cartoons"), there may be some instances where automation that would be helpful.

What did you mean by enhancement process? How would you describe the images you enhance?

Restoration projects I have done are typically long, tedious endeavors requiring a lot of manual brush work using various tools. Not many automation opportunities here. There are many "tricks of the trade" and the best source for them are the golden nuggets found among the threads and tutorials on this site or in Katrin Eiemann's stellar book, Photoshop Restoration and Retouching, considered by many to be the best of its kind.

Maybe I used the wrong terms

Danny,

Thanks. I understand that in PS CS2 there is a way to flip back and forth between some baseline and your current layer. I assumed that's what animation meant. So, I guess I might ask what can you do that's useful with PS animation feature?

I have worked through 85% of Katrins book, and it is very good, but I don't recall her using a feature like that.

Does everyone have a problem with the Help functionality on CS2?

Your help files maybe corrupted, try reinstalling.
PS2 can be good for simple animation, ImageReady is better.
checkout this and these for tutorials.
