opacity shortcut in photoshop

I might be one of the only people who didnt know this but just in case someone else dosent know ( I have found it a great help)

when you want to change opacity of your brushes you can use the numeric key pad
so if you want a opacity of 10 press 1, 20 press 2, etc, etc ,

Re: opacity shortcut in photoshop

at times i want to keep a layer that isn't being used but i want to keep the layer on, this way when i check the "delete hidden layers" i can truly see if i have any layers that might be turned off by accident...

Re: opacity shortcut in photoshop

for my reasons, when doing design work, i often duplictae many shape layers on top of one another, i like to combine many different layer effects, but don't want the layer to keep getting heavier/darker (especial with transparencies), so i turn the fill to 0%, but leave the opacity at 100% so only the layer's "layers effects" show through.

for example, comes in handy when doing logos with lets say, a look that makes it feel like it's made of glass.
