Photoshop cs unexpectedly quits on mac os 10.4.11

Why oh why?? I've trashed prefs and the .plst several times. Sometimes I can go days with no problem. It quits when doing different things; not when I do a particular thing. Been to Adobe; couldn't find help. Thanks.

Is it legal? If not, there's your problem

It's VERY legal. Had it since cs came out. Only now having problems with it on my new macpro.

You didn't say which version of PSCS.

Kiska, did you upgrade the RAM? If you did, did you buy it from Apple or a third party vendor? It could be bad RAM.

Another thought, do a "Get Info" on the Photoshop application and check the box to run it under Rosetta. You may take a slight speed hit, but Photoshop might be more stable for you running on the intel chip. This option may not appear in CS2 or lower.

Hey Swamps! It is cs period. The first one. My macpro is 'outta the box'. No extra added attractions, RAM wise. The same plugins (NeatImage) I've always used.

Kiska, you did a get info on the Folder, not the Photoshop application. Rosetta is part of the Mac OS and should let you opt to run Photoshop under Rosetta emulation. Being an older version of Photoshop, it probably won't run well native on an intel Mac.

Thanks. I got some help from a techie who says I need to upgrade. CS is just not happy on the new macs.
