HElp with actions in photoshop cs3

Hello,
I'm Jolene and I'm just learning how to use photo shop . I can't figure out how to get my actions to work, I have a pic open and clicked play for an action and nothing happened.
Can someone please help.
Thanks in advance,
Jolene

Re: HElp with actions in photoshop cs3

Hi Jolene and welcome to RP! Are you running one of the default action in PS or are you trying to run an action which you created. Make sure you have the right layer selected. The reason actions do not run sometimes is if they are instructed to do things that can not be done. For example trying to apply a filter to blank layer. A little more info would allow folks to help you debug your problem. Perhaps you could attach the image and describe the action?
Regards, Murray
