Changing Zoom Tool Setting

How do I change my Zoom Tool setting to show a "+" rather than a "-" when I bring it up. I know I must have hit something but don't know what and I can't seem to find the anwer when I go to the "Help" section.

I did this once before but I just can't remember what I did to change the setting. As you get old the mind just goes.

Thanks.

Re: Changing Zoom Tool Setting

I guess my question wasn't clear. I would like the plus sign rather than the minus sign to appear when I open the Zoom Tool. I would like the plus to be the default setting rather than minus. I had that set up a week ago and wonder what I did to change it.

Re: Changing Zoom Tool Setting

Okay

I'm using CS2 so not sure about earlier versions of Photoshop.
If you click on the zoom tool or press Z, at the top of the screen are the tool settings, if you click on the Plus icon (2nd from the left), the next time you use it, it will be the way you want it.

hope this helps

Peter

Re: Changing Zoom Tool Setting

Peter,

Thanks a lot. Worked. Now I'll have to write it down someplace so when it happens again I'll know what to do.

Thanks again. Appreciated.

I doubt you'll forget it now.
