Smooth Text Scrolling

Ok I enjoy making Sigs,
Here is my Problem.
My Text that scrolls through is Choppy and not smooth.
How can I get it too flow smoothly?
Im using CS2
I take the text and move it off the sig on the Right side.
I open Animation and click on Duplicate next Frame, then I move text all the way too the left and off the sig on the left.
I then click on Tween when box appears I make sure it is Tween with next frame. Most of the time I use 5 or 10 frames. My thought was the more Frames the smoother the animation or scrolling so I chose 30 this time.
Here is my Results:

Ive played with Frame Delay time but cant seem too get it right.
Please Help

Re: Smooth Text Scrolling

If you're using Photoshop CS3 this might be something more appropriate for the timeline palette.

Re: Smooth Text Scrolling

hi,
i took a look and broke down the frames... the lettering.. your having it shift at appx 12-14 spaces per frame... that a big hunk of movement at one time!! I think what you need to do in order to get smoother flowing of the text is shift only about 4 or 5 spaces at a time... actually i think maybe shifting one character space at time if you want it real smooth...!! but that will be your decision on how smooth you want it...

well those are my thoughts

Re: Smooth Text Scrolling

hi,
First your not dumb..... i am just a novice my self to photoshop and will take forever to be adaquate..lol....

now i don't have cs2.... so i don't how that works.... but your doing tweening...

over all your going to be increasing the number of frames in your project!!!!
remember your going to have 1 frame per 1 character shift!! and you have maybe (guessing) 200 characters that going to be shifted.... and that will mean your project will have about 200 frames!!!

i notice you said 30 frames... well try a much bigger number.. smile.... jump up there to 150 or 200...

No, this is the right place. The timeline was introduced in Photoshop CS3 specifically to help with situations like these. But it looks like you'll get things quickly sorted out now.
