Remove red eye action tool Looking for some help here. I have Photoshop CS and Photoshop Elements 3. More importantly, I have incredibly blue-eyed girls and a husband and spend a lot of time getting red eye out of my images from my Canon Powershot S5 IS. Wondering if you can help me here. I use Noise Ninja to reduce noise which I can batch through Photoshop CS plug in. (I can't do that in PE 3 right? Can you in PE 6 b/c it might be worth an upgrade!) But, now I have red eye to deal with. I really prefer the Red Eye Removal tool in PE but then I have to re-open the images in PE and now go image to image and fix the red eye. Is it worth upgrading to PE 6 to fix that as I know it does that automatically? Anyway, I found a Red Eye Removal action online (http://graphicssoft.about.com/od/pho...deyeaction.htm) but it tends to make the pupils a grayish color instead of black. Then, it says to use the Dodge tool but that takes more time. I'm trying to SAVE time so that I'm not spending hours at the computer. any other recommendations on a Red Eye removal action - or how to adjust this one so the pupils end up the appropriate black instead of a dullish gray. Thanks in advance for your assistance -

Re: Remove red eye action tool Akcor... Welcome to Retouch Pro. It's been my experience that no one tool or action does the job on all photos. I've tried all the actions, CS red eye tool. etc. I can spend about as much time trying tools as just going ahead, making a selection, jump to a new layer, desaturate and then adjust the blacks with levels or other tool. The camera, subject, lighting conditions, reflections are different in every photo even when shot under the same conditions.

Re: Remove red eye action tool Hey Ackor, Let me add my welcome. I'm not an Elements user, but it's doubtful Elements 6 would have functionality to apply plugins in batch like Photoshop since batch in Photoshop is based on the ability to invoke actions. You may want to check www.atncentral.com for more fix red-eye actions if you have not already done so. As Swampy noted there are multiple ways to skin this cat using Photoshop and perhaps you will find one(s) that meet your needs. Here's a Google search link that may help in the treasure hunt: http://www.google.com/search?num=100...22&btnG=Search Since all actions of this nature require one to make manual selections, none will work in batch: batch does not permit one to pause to do something like make selections and then resume to apply the fix, then on to the next image. It would be nice if it did, but... Hope this gets you started in the right direction.
