Ok How too Reoutline

When I use my Magic wand tool or the Lasso, too outline an object.
I use it so I can Layer via Copy. But then I need too Reoutline all so I can Delete the exact copied area.
Ive Tried ever combo I can think of cant seem too get the area reselected.
I always have too Lasso or Magic wand it again and then I alot of times dont have the exact area and need too fine tune alot.
Any Help would be appreciated

2 possible choices - save the selection before doing layer via copy or ctrl click on the new layer in the layers palette to re-select.

hi,
something i been experimenting but it maybe old hat to others.. smile.. i am novice...

after you have outlined...
do a right click and click save selection.... give it a name and OK
what end up happening is that it put into the channel palette for storage..
you can then call it up at anytime by right click and click load selection and choosing the channel selction (if you have more than) that you want to call up
