Settings on PS CS3 Extended - Help

Hi, I am hoping someone can give me some advice please. I purchased the 1 on 1 PS video tutorials by Deke, he suggested changing some settings throughout the tutorial, but when I did it trashed PS and then crashed my system. I uninstalled and reloaded. Should I be changing the default settings or do I leave these well alone? Please help. Thanks.

Dianne

Re: Settings on PS CS3 Extended - Help

Dianne - its really impossible that changing your Photoshop preferences alone could cause any problem. The problem you had must be related to something else, most probably other software on your machine. If you are on Windows, then there are many more issues related to smooth running of Photoshop than on a mac, and this http://www.adobeforums.com/cgi-bin/webx?14@@.ee6b366 is a much better place to ask

Re: Settings on PS CS3 Extended - Help

Thanks for responding. I think you are right, there seems to be some sort of conflict. When I try to load any photos into PS it shuts down immediately. I'll investigate further. Thanks again.
