I'm not exactly sure how to do that... Or at least I don't remember. I know that we learned that in my Photoshop class... and than I forgot. :P
But I suppose it wouldn't be so hard to find a guide on that somewhere on the 'net.

i now remember i did this back in the 90's to a game under os9, i went in with resedit and customized some of the sprites to the game that was like asteroids..if i remember correctly i was using a file that was at least twice the resolution to deal with the anti-alias artifacts...

For vector shapes in PS, you can use the pen tool or the shapes that are on the toolbar.
