Re: Sharpening Pics

Sharpening is mostly picture dependent, and is most cases require sharpening of there own style. Sharpening a face is diffrent then sharpening for say rocks.

Example pictures are helpfull. But if you dont wish to post, what type of subject are you trying to sharpen?

A duplicate of your murged image, high pass, overlay blending mode.
---Its a simpler sharpen that allows for control and also can be used with masks to only effect what you want.

Hope it helps,

Re: Sharpening Pics

Kevin is correct. Also, it depends on the overall effect you're trying to achieve, as well as your preferred workflow.

For example, some people shoot RAW and do all their sharpening in a RAW editor like Adobe's Camera Raw (ACR). Others, prefer a third party utility.

So, give us some idea as to what you do and what software you use. Otherwise, we are just guessing.

Re: Sharpening Pics

Thanks all,
I do alot of Signatures and Really enjoy details in a picture.
I use CS2 and mostly use the Sharpen. I also use ctrl/U and ctrl/L too pull colors or darken. I also try too pick pictures that are large so when I have too make smaller and not enlarge as enlarging pixelates the pics at times.
I also find out that if i sharpen one too many times it also pixelates.
I need too brush up on my masking so that helps with detail aswell?
Here is a sig i made too get ideas of details.

Thanks for help all
