I have been having this problem for some time now and am at wits end. I have moved ALL my 3rd party plugins out to a different folder (I can reference it in PS prefs). After doing that and restarting PS it works fine, I just don't have access to my wonderful plugins. You know like OnOne and Topaz. After it happens a message comes up asking to submit a trouble report, which I have done. Then the 10th or 20th time it happens Safari starts opening a page from Adobe. I have followed what it says and cannot find a way to operate and have my plugins work without this happening. Here is the URL from Adobe. H E L P ! ! ! !

Re: Photoshop CS4 & CS5 crash on quitting. Gunner one thing to try is, as you have done move your 3rd party plugins to a new folder then in Windows explorer create a shortcut to this folder and place it in your Photoshop plugins folder. It has worked for me before as it saved having to reinstall a lot of them when I upgraded. Hope it helps. Peter

Re: Photoshop CS4 & CS5 crash on quitting. Gunner, you can do what you did when the plugin is an 8BF file that just drops into the PS plugin folder. However sophisticated plugs which come with installers often function differently. For example, TOPAZ installs itself in the C/ Programs folder where it stores the plugin, the presets, and the documentation. It then creates Shortcuts which it deposits in the PS plugin folder. You probably need to move them back to where they were, then uninstall them and reinstall them in the new folder or manually install the executable itself in the PS plugin folder. The situation may be different with other plugins. Regards, Murray

Re: Photoshop CS4 & CS5 crash on quitting. Gunner have you saved a lot of pattern stamp pics on your computer? Just wondering because they use up a lot of memory. I had a problem before with Photoshop shutting down on it's own because of that. Once I deleted the pattern stamp pics I had saved Photoshop ran fine. Just a thought. Joe

Re: Photoshop CS4 & CS5 crash on quitting. I agree it's a plug-in thing. I install a lot of them and sometimes after doing so I get the PS crash on quit (Mac).
