You may have to wait until they come up with paper thin LCD monitors for travel

There may be a fix but there may well be risks associated i.e. you will be driving your system further than the manufacturer intended.

It is possible that you can change the screen by a registry hack if you are feeling brave/adventurous

Disclaimer. I have no idea if this will work with your particular system or if any damage could result as a result of making these changes. Have a look at this thread and see what you think

Re: Netbook screen resolution too small for CS5

hi,
there a couple of issue need to be aware of first..
1. for lcd screen there generally not many resolutions mode avail
2. using a mode that different than the native resolution will probably have lower display quality.....

3. now as far as the netbook the intigraded graphics... they make them cheap and simple limited choices for modes........
4. also it the graphic card and not windows that determines what modes you have....

with that said.. there a couple of possiblites...
how about a external graphic card.....?????? they have had these avail fo years for laptops and remember all the netbook is , is a laptop ...
now this is just a general overview
http://www.build-gaming-computers.co...ideo-card.html

disadvantages,,, maybe a little slower also extra hardware to carry around...

but hopefully you can find a external card that will work with your netbook and also offer the resolutions and screen ratio you need...

it will take some reading and enquiries... but here some search results
http://www.bing.com/search?q=externa...=n&sk=&sc=1-28

i hope that helps a little

It works, thanks very much. I had tried this thing earlier but hadn't realized it has to be changed EVERYWHERE in the registry. Changing only the first occurrence is not enough.
Many thanks to all of you
