| Hello I would like to create a soft edge effect (a white border that fades into the image) using photoshop for a batch of photos. Can anyone tell me how to create this myself, or where to find a cheap or free pre-made photoshop plugin that will allow me to do this? Ideally something I can run on a batch of photographs rather than having to open them individually. If you know of a way without Photoshop I would be interested in that too. Thank you for reading. |

| Re: Photoshop batch soft edge effect Galen, welcome to RetouchPro. You can create / record a tiny action: -Select All - Select > Modify > Border - Select > Modify > Feather - Set your foreground color swatch to white and hit Ctrl+Backspace to fill it with white or use the fill command. Now you are finished. Save the action and then do File > Automate > Batch. You just specifiy the folder containing all of you images and Photoshop will apply the specified action to all the photos in that folder. Regards, Murray |
