Dang - If its not one thing it is another. That problem may be beyond my help and maybe others can jump in. I suggest in order

- Resetting the tool
- Restart PS
- Check to verify that you are not in a PS mode that uses Cmd + D for other uses (search in this link: http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/usi...shortcuts.html)
- Resetting all tools
- Resetting Preferences

There is always the possibility there is some issue/interaction with the tablet driver if you are using one. Beyond the scope of what I can help with.

Hope you get this figured out.

The only possible conclusion is that I sometimes accidentally click twice while creating a lasso selection. That happens only with the pen, never with the mouse.

I assume there is no way to disable that functionality... (double click finishing a polygonal selection). Maybe I should try to reconfigure my tablet to make it less sensitive.
Anyway, thanks for the help.
Hi genf - Assuming you are referring to a tablet pen (not pen tool) then based on what you said it sounds as either a tablet/pen issue or their associated driver. Make sure you have all OS, PS, graphics, and tablet software/drivers updated. Also a remote possibility an interaction with the graphics driver. You can always back off of the graphics acceleration options in PS Preferences to see if that helps solve the problem.

Maybe another Forum member can jump in and help as well.
