| You should always apply any available patches to Photoshop. If any are available, it will be at adobe.com, go to the Photoshop page, then Support, then Downloads. Anytime you change operating systems it's a good idea to do a clean installation, which means backing up your data and formatting the disk. This is especially the case with XP, since it will allow you to use the NTFS formatting.            |
