Hi, does anyone know if using the above scaling is simply an interpolation, just as in photoshop?Thank you.

If by interpolation you mean resampling, what other alternative is there for raster images?

Well, guess what I was really asking is about the quality difference.
So I reckon there is no 'special' process about their scaling method?

Don't know if anyone has done some comparision perhaps with Photoshop,Genuine Fractals, smartscale and C1.

Thks Doug.

I've not seen a comparison, although there are some sophisticated resampling algorythms available out there. But even the best of these produce subjective advantages when compared to plain ole bicubic.

Did you ask the Phase One guys? They have a downloadable demo.
