Polaroid dust and scratches filter

I don't know how this happened, but somehow I lost my D&S filter. Now I've downloaded the file again, and ran the .exe file. But it doesn't show up in my filters. Am I losing my mind, or isn't it supposed to automatically install the plug-in? If not, what do I have to do in order for it to show up? I'm running Photoshop 7.

Thanks,
Ed

Poloroid D&S

Speaking of the Poloroid D&S filter. When I try to apply the filter to a single layer, let's say the duplicated background layer or a luminance mask layer, the preview window only shows half of the layer image. But if I apply it on a flattened file, there is no problem. The viewer window shows a full image. What am I doing wrong?
