| | | Color Palette - restore Well, talk about dumb and dumber...
I accidentally deleted my color palette from the screen and can't find out how to restore it. I've never done this before. It's embarassing...
How do I get it back?
Also my "Help" won't work. I get a message saying that I need to "Make Java Script active in web browser". How do I do that in Windows XP?
Thanks,
Cliff. |

| | | Javascript (assuming IE6), Tools>Internet Options>Security>Internet>Custom then scroll down and enable the 3 scripting options. |

As luck would have it, I'm on Outlook Express and the options are different. I know it's got to be somewhere. I tried the MS "Help" feature and got nowhere. I even tried to access their message board which is when I got my "Java Script" message.
What a connundrum. One has a problem, goes to the "Help" feature but cannot get help as the problem blocks access to the "Help" solution. Never a dull moment. I wonder how much MS pays the "Einstein" who put in that loop?

| | | Outlook Express is a Mail Client, not a Web Browser. Exit from OE, and try adjusting settings in IE as Doug has indicated. If using Firefox instead, then Tools/Options/Web Features and tick Enable Java.

| | | MS error... Doug & Gary,
Thanks for your assistance. I found the 3 categories and surprisingly all 3 were enabled. I can only assume then that Microsoft must be having some problem with their "Help" feature.
Never a dull moment.

| | | CJ, The only other setting I can think of that may affect things in IE is found under
Tools/Internet Options/Advanced then scroll down to Microsoft VM there are 3 settings, at the very least "JIT Compiler for Virtual Machine" should be ticked.
If it is, try "Java Console Enabled" to see if this resolves your problem.
Please note changing either of these settings requires a reboot to activate the change in setting. |
