If you want to automatically resize and apply a digital watermark to a folder of images (avoiding having to do each one manually), these are the basic tasks: * Create a Photoshop "action" that resizes an image and applies the watermark to it * Engage the Automate > Batch command to apply the action en mass to a folder of images Is this close to what you want to do or did I miss the boat completely? |

I wish it was a simple explanation, but it isn't... * There are many ways to watermark an image to indicate it's a proof, so step one is deciding on how you want to do it. You will find a very good tutorial using one method here: http://www.thelightsright.com/tutorials-pdf.htm (scroll all the way to the bottom / right) * Resize means different things to different people. If the "before and after" aspect ratio is the same, then Image > Image size is the way to go, otherwise the Crop tool comes into play and that can get messy in batch. Once you get the step-by-step processes ironed out to resize and apply the watermark to just one image, then you're ready to record those steps in an action: * Writing actions... There are dozens of tutorials on the net that describe how to write actions. google: photoshop watermark action for ones specific to what you're trying to do * When you've got an action working that does what you want on a single image, click my name at the top/left of this post to send me an e-mail or Private Message. I will be glad to walk you through the Batch dialog. I hope this gets you farther down the road. ~Danny~ |
