have i got it right, that this thread is 'bout free editor for scripting langs?

my fave programming editors (all are free if i'm correct):
Context Programmers Editor: http://www.context.cx/ - very modest on resources, variety of highlighters (from assemblers, through scripting, c, c++, c#, java, upto latex, html etc.)

Crimson Editor: http://www.crimsoneditor.com/ - very strong, w/ great support for command-line tools (when you use latex, gcc, asm or so, crimson is a great choice, even over some IDEs)

and of course the best of the best - Emacs: http://www.gnu.org/software/emacs/emacs.html , binaries downloadable from many places, eg. http://www.fis.unipr.it/pub/win/Emacs/ (try google for more places) - harder to learn, but incredibly effective once you get the grip of it

This whole subforum is about Photoshop scripting, but the more resources, the better.
