RetouchPRO LIVE - Steve Caplin 07/01/09

I'm pleased to announce our first returning guest artist to RetouchPRO LIVE, Steve Caplin. The turnout and feedback for Steve's first live event was just amazing, and we've put together an all-new live show. This time, Steve will show us how to control and exploit perspective in photomontages using Photoshop CS4. And, of course, he'll answer your questions along the way:

From Steve:
"I plan to work on four images. The first will be an entirely "hand worked" perspective composition. The second will be a demonstration of how to use the scale and rotation features in the Clone Panel to clone in perspective. The third will be an introduction to Vanishing Point, showing how it works and demonstrating its basic effects. The fourth will be a more complex scene that requires more careful thought in order to make it work, also using Vanishing Point. If there's time, I'll also talk about making 3D models in Vanishing Point."

If I'd like to participate, will this be able to be viewed on a dial-up system? Or would I need to find a faster connected computer? (I know the faster is better in any case, but my home computer is still dial-up.)

Dial-up is not fast enough. In fact, some entry-level broadband plans aren't fast enough. You'd really need at least a 3Mbps download speed to avoid potential viewing problems.

I've been working with Steve, and I think this is going to be our most information-packed event yet. Don't underestimate the importance of perspective, it's one of the most common problems that tips off the viewer that an image has been photoshopped, even in simple composites. And Vanishing Point is one of the most amazing and advanced tools Adobe has ever put into Photoshop.
