Hey Doug, You need to work out a deal with these people to get a DVD out of thier web casts... I would pay a 'fair' sum - plus there is to much info in the 2 hour webinare to really grasp in one sitting...............

First time trying a webinar here. I used PayPal to pay for it, and got the registration page. Still waiting for my link in an email. The page says "within 24 hrs". The webinar is about 7.5 hrs away... will I get an email soon?

I guess we European's just have to stay up late!!

Still, I look at it from the perspective that Chris's time is valuable, and I'm paying $10 for 2 hours of his weekend. There could be only a handful of people in the session, and it still gets run (although if it's a full house, it's a hell of an earner for 2 hours work) and I get 2 hours of instruction I'd not normally be able to get.

I like the fact the creases on the skin have only been softened not removed, but why did you leave the shape of the shoulder like that, it's the first thing that your eye is drawn to. The nose is quite an awkward shape and the wrist is a little fat, the top lip has been fattened losing the mouths shape and overall the mouth now looks pinched. The skin looks good but why not warp a few areas to achieve a more attractive picture.
The hair doesn't appear to have been touched, it's still full of crosses.
It's a good effort and I admire the boldness to charge people to see how this was done.

You have an eye for detail I'll give you that. But with this retouch as are all the ones that I do, the final outcome is the decision of the Photographer and the Art/creative directors.
The image was for a natural beauty and health ad. Hence the non-warping" of all the things you suggest. And the hairstylist and Photographer did their best to achieve how the hair looks. Wasn't about to go and change their vision. Its their image not mine.
Its not my job to go out there and make all of my retouches meet a "look". I don't have a "Look". Its why I keep getting work. I know where the boundaries lie and respect them.
But thanks for your comments. For a different type of retouch if I was off by that much you would be spot on and I would have appreciated your observations.

Is there a specific reason you can't leave it open until start time? Is there a size limit?

my computer has been going crazy. It took me a while to figure out I couldn't use the latest firefox. So when I got into safari things started up, but then it would lag out for long periods of time. Is there any chance this will air again?

Registration closes an hour before showtime because they're done manually and I can't process them while I'm preparing for a show.

Yea I dig what your saying but is this natural beauty when the teeth have been over whitened and the knuckles have gone. Why didn't you use one of Marios images you know what he's like with stuff like this and you know how far the whole image will go. It'll give the paying viewers more of an idea of the effort and time and skill that goes into an image.
Seems like an odd choice of images and odd reasons for leaving cross hairs and ugly unnatural shapes, but hay ho

Would love to use any of either Mario's shots. Not an option I'm afraid.
Again, I do not question the Photographer or the Art/Creative Directors.... that much.
But if that is what they wanted its what they got regardless of my artistic aesthetics.
