Gary- Sorry about the speed issue. I tend to go a little quick as I often have to much info to go over in that short amount of time.As it was I had to rush over the final two or three layers to squeeze them in. I will post the steps on my blog for the action today.

Chris
Hi Chris,

Thanks for sharing some of your wealth of retouching knowledge, I really enjoyed the webinar. Can you link us to your blog? I can't seem to find the step by step or the actions.

David

Thank you very much. The rebroadcast with Chris was quite enjoyable and educating. I've been studying and practicing for a while, but, am leaving this session with a couple takeaways that will definitely affect my workflow and tweak my current process.

Would love to see more with Chris in the future, including his masking techniques (that hand mask he did - wondering his process on that). Appreciate you offering these webinars.

Also -- really appreciate leaving the Photoshop 101 out of this, and using the experts to teach what only they can offer. Plenty of other avenues to learn basics.

I would love to have a session more about channels. My friend who worked in magazines in the 90's said the best retouching was hands-off, working only in the channels. Maybe this is no longer the case with the advancement of photoshop's tools, but even so I suspect there is much more possible that is not so intuitive at first, using channels. So an event without spending time on those basic tools would be great!!
But thank you, I did learn some good things!

Re: RP LIVE - Chris Tarantino 08/01/09 Feedback

Chris and Doug, thank you for your fine efforts at cyber-juggling, toggling, masking and all the other "ings" so skillfully demonstrated on the retouch webinar.
Back in the day, my first college Photoshop projects were virtual mummies, so poor were my skills. Yesterday was an eye-opener (can't resist the pun) for me!
The only thing I would add is in the area of dental tweaks, from what I know of healthy gum tissue, it is pale pink, so perhaps in addition to toning down the hot spots in that area, a light sponge tool desaturation could effectively deemphasize the gums. I would emphasize very light adjustments here--somewhere in the realm of 4-7%--as dull, tending toward grayscale gums would be very bad indeed!
Again, thanks for the great lesson on less is more, except when it comes to layers, where it seems you can never have too many.

Are you stopping at only one rebroadcast for each event?
