absolutely loved this demonstration of the power of photoshop. I am a novice user, and just graduated from elements 6.0 to the full version that someone gave me of adobe photoshop 7.0. I am learning (and struggling greatly) to learn what I am doing...right and wrong. But anyway....watching the show last night (and I only saw the last hour) showed me what I CAN do so I thank you for providing that. Not that I can sit down and do the same thing.....but hey...there is something called persistance!

Does anyone remember - when Steve was creating the mist, he used a white brush at 40% opacity, then he locked the transparency, and then he did ??? What did he click on/set right after he locked the layer transparency?

I then set the foreground/background colors to black and white, and ran the Clouds filter once more. This adds a random element which makes the mist look that much more convincing.

Steve used the clouds filter on the mist layer the make the white area more "misty" looking

I wasn't able to take notes, as it goes by too fast, but enjoyed it. Would really like to see a You Tube version where one could play, stop, pause at will....or at least a transcript! Many neat tricks/shortcuts that just ran through my colander of a brain.

I haven't looked yet, but maybe there is a thread on here discussing each and all of the steps? With no way to go back and review things carefully, I can't see my ever doing a paid webinar... but it was fun! :-)

Just watched the re broadcast in Australia. Really fantastic, Steve. However you went a little fast for me in some parts, especially the modelling of the cracks on the gravestone.
But I really loved the show, and learnt a lot. Will certainly attend other webinars that you do. Would love to see how to make a realistic montage, of a woman blending into a tree.

Just watched the rebroadcast from the Netherlands.
The cracks went a little fast for me as well, but the overall was pretty good.. screen updated a little slow sometimes..
This was annoying because steve was actually doing something when this happened...

I didn't expect it to be so much darn fun! Thank you. I took notes and followed everything except for carving the pumpkin ~ I got really lost there. I was really impressed with how organized he works especially with layers. Learned a lot of useful combining/subtracting selection techniques. The only thing I could say was wrong with it was that there was waaaaaaaay too much material.

I for one would like to have a session on what you do to added elements to make them blend in better.

I watched and enjoyed the rebroadcast too. The audio moved along fine even with the glitches but the screen never was in sync and often stopped only to jump ahead by a minutes, missing most of the screen shots. I assume that is the fault of my slow dsl. I've seen other webinars with a similar problem but the slides/visuals did eventually show up. Thanks for this, just wish I had better speed, it wouldn't be worth it for me to pay for 1/3 of the info.

I found that audio in rebrodcast was not as good as in oryginal. Compression made some distortions. Also video was little bit compressed (artifacts on edges). So, for one who want to have best performance and visual - better to watch live, than rebrodcast.

I orderered and received just yesterday "How to Cheat in Photoshop CS4" from Amazon. It comes with a DVD with the images and short movie clips, and so far I think it's great. I would highly recommend it.

The graveyard pics and movie are included so you can recreate the steps from the webinar.

Yes, most of the techniques demonstrated by Steve are possible in Elements; although some may require a bit of working around.
