RetouchPRO LIVE with Amy Dresser "Elvada"
Amy enjoyed the surprise show so much, she's asked if she can do another unknown (to her) image. But since the surprise isn't the important thing this time, I can share with you the before image (see the link below).

Join Amy Dresser for the next all-new RetouchPRO LIVE. Watch Amy's desktop live via your browser as she performs a beauty retouch from start-to-finish on a file she's never worked on before. This will provide a unique look into the mind of a professional retoucher at work.

Saturday, February 13, 4pm CST (see link below for other time zones)

Doug, no "before" image is showing.

Re: RetouchPRO LIVE with Amy Dresser "Elvada"
That IS the before image. There's no "after" (as it explains).

Re: RetouchPRO LIVE with Amy Dresser "Elvada"
I apologize. I'm having a browser issue. It doesn't show up for me in Firefox - however, I checked and see that it does in Chrome and Safari. Looks like a great "before" image.

I'll go run a system update or something.

Amy should think about becoming a teacher after she retired (or now even better :). With her resume, she could get a job at any CSU or CC.

Re: RetouchPRO LIVE with Amy Dresser "Elvada"
Not to be a contrarian to these "surprise" live events but I feel the artist is forced to spend too much time on the basics and too little time on what makes their work unique. There always seems to be a rush at the end of the event to show what the artist in question would really like to exhibit, that which separates them from the crowd. I think it would be of benefit to all if the file was sent earlier and the grunge/ground work was already done in advance. Then 10-15 minutes could be spent covering the why and how of the grunge work allowing the final time to show how to refine the image and make it sparkle using the artist's special techniques. Also this would allow for a true before and after and not a "use your imagination as to how it would look if the rest of the skin was fixed" as we have had in previous shows. Don't get me wrong here, I truly love these events but feel there was more to be gained from them when the artist was able to demo a file on which they had already done the more mundane parts of the retouching. I hope this is seen as constructive as I greatly appreciate these great retouchers sharing their time with us but I hear frustration in their voices when they don't get to polish their work to a satisfyingly professional level.

Re: RetouchPRO LIVE with Amy Dresser "Elvada"
I realize the artist may not have time to do any work in advance but the above is just a suggestion that perhaps they should be given the option should they so choose. I don't think anything would be taken away from the event itself by so doing.

I just recently joined this forum because of my sudden interest in photography (mainly due to the girlfriend) but damn I am so excited for this.
